The functionalist gem

They found their dream home in a townhouse in Skillebekk. Camilla Pihl and Peter Peters decided to build a nest for their small family that grew from two to three.

When the couple found out they were expecting their first child, they decided to look for a more family-friendly home than their Frogner flat on the fifth floor. The decided on a Funkis terrace house from 1932 that needed complete renovation. Since Camilla and Peter had received help from the Skøyen Slettvoll branch to furnish their previous apartment, they chose to use the same service for their new housing project.

“We have received a great deal of advice from Slettvoll to help us see the whole picture. They create nice mood boards based on colour palettes you like and make suggestions for everything from the colours of rugs, curtains, fabrics for sofas, cushions and the little things that help create a cosy home.

More information about Slettvoll's furnishing advice can be found here.

With open, bright rooms, clean lines and good energy, everything is in place to create a modern, Nordic style. Organic elements that complement each other, such as plants, stone and fabrics, provide a natural counterbalance to the house's neat, sophisticated details.
